AntiChrome... What is it?
AntiChrome is basically the Atlas browser for Android phones on google chrome. It unblocks every website. The install is just like the Ghostery install, except instead of the Ghostery files, use the AntiChrome Files.
Step 1. Install ARC
ARC is required to run any android app on your Chromebook. Click here to go to the download page for ARC.
Step 2. Create an Apps Folder
First, you will need to create an Apps folder, so we can easily locate the AntiChrome browser when we are installing it. You will need to find your files app, which can easily be found by clicking the circle on the left of your shelf. Once the search bar comes up, just simply type 'Files' and it should come up. Once your in your files, be sure you are in your 'Downloads' section. You can see your downloads section by clicking the 'Downloads' button located in the left sidebar. Once you click it, click CTRL+E. A new folder will pop up, now right-click that then rename it to 'Apps'
Step 3. Download the Files for AntiChrome
Step 4. Unzip the files
On Chromebook, it's very easy to unzip files. Simply double-click the zip. Next in the zip you will see a folder named "nextapp.atlas". You can easily drag this into the "Apps" folder we made earlier, located in the left sidebar.
Step 5. Install AntiChrome
To install AntiChrome you will need to open Chrome. Once you have opened Chrome, open your extensions. To find your extensions, click the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the browser, hover over 'More Tools' then click extensions. At the top of the extensions page, there should be a check box labeled 'Developer Mode'. Check that box. Next, you should see a button labeled 'Load Unpacked Extension'. Click that then simply go to your Apps folder, CLICK the folder in there, DO NOT OPEN IT, then once your have clicked it, it should be highlighted blue.
Now you can click the Blue OPEN button. Chrome will install the app. Now you will have AntiChrome installed! You can click launch to start the browser, then the app will always be listed with your other apps. Enjoy!
