Ghostery... What is it?
Ghostery is a web browser meant for mobile android devices. We will be making it so you can run it on Chrome OS. Ghostery is a fully functional private browser that does not allow internet providers, businesses, etc. track you. This can be useful against schools that give you a chromebook loaded with extensions that slow down your internet access. We do not recommend you use this browser for illegal activities. This browser just speeds up your browsing experience, removes all of the annoying filters that can be put on your chromebook by schools. Below is a very easy step by step tutorial to install Ghostery.
Step 1. Install ARC
ARC is required to run any android app on your Chromebook. Click here to go to the download page for ARC.

First, you will need to create an Apps folder, so we can easily locate the Ghostery browser when we are installing it. You will need to find your files app, which can easily be found by clicking the circle on the left of your shelf. Once the search bar comes up, just simply type 'Files' and it should come up. Once your in your files, be sure you are in your 'Downloads' section. You can see your downloads section by clicking the 'Downloads' button located in the left sidebar. Once you click it, click CTRL+E. A new folder will pop up, now right-click that then rename it to 'Apps'
Step 3. Download the Files for Ghostery
Step 4. Unzip the files
On Chromebook, it's very easy to unzip files. Simply double-click the zip. Next in the zip you will see a folder named "com.ghostery.android.ghostery_twerk". You can easily drag this into the "Apps" folder we made earlier, located in the left sidebar.
Step 5. Install Ghostery

To find your extensions, click the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the browser, hover over 'More Tools' then click extensions. Click that then simply go to your Apps folder, CLICK the folder in there, DO NOT OPEN IT, then once your have clicked it, it should be highlighted blue like this;
